Paris – charcoal linocut

This is a linocut map of Paris, This was a self initiated project that i did to continue the series. I had been to Paris for the sole reason of collecting images to use as research for the map. I made the map in 2009.

once i completed the map, i was tasked with trying to find a press big enough. I wrote to as many people as i could, and got featured on the creative review blog. The article went viral and i was inundated with information. I managed to find a press in london that was big enough and made a few prints. As well as monoprints. The artwork for sale here is mainly monoprints – i’ll share one for now but will most likely share more in the future.

This monoprint featured comes with a hand crafted frame. This monoprint was made using graphite and a technique that I created during a few days of printing.
